Ira Glass on Storytelling from David Shiyang Liu on Vimeo.

It helps to know that even people like Ira Glass went through a time when he felt that the things he was producing weren’t good enough. For people who are in industries that require a great amount of creativity, this is a feeling that threatens to take over EVERY SINGLE DAY.

So to all of my friends who are feeling frustrated, are struggling to find their creative voice, can’t seem to get out of their writer’s block – JUST KEEP MAKING THINGS. Sometimes, i want to throw my pole out the window, or burn my articles while screaming “DAMN YOU SALAZAAAAARRR!”.

But after our hissy fit, it may be the hardest thing to do but we just have to pick up our things and keep creating. One day, maybe we’ll know what it feels like to look at our finished product and finally see something our hearts and hands can be eternally proud of. Bow.

I’m Kris

Wife to an amazing man and mother to two crazy kids I would burn the whole world down for. I love to write, and so I write. I also love to draw, but I’m not very good at it. I do real estate and own a business. It’s a lot. And it’s a mess, sorry I didn’t have time to fix up. Come in, but watch your step! There’s probably some spilled snacks on the floor. And some Legos. But that’s okay, the couch is cozy and the coffee is hot. Let’s make chika!
